GE’s Clean Cycle generator, based on the organic rankine cycle (ORC) technology, produces power by utilizing heat delivered through PHGE’s downdraft gasification system and waste-mixing process.
PSEG Completes Badger 1 Solar Farm in Arizona

The solar farm was developed and constructed by juwi solar (JSI). Arizona Public Service Company (APS) will purchase the electricity produced by the facility through a 30-year agreement.
MISO Completes Largest-Ever Power Grid Integration

The change in control, or "cutover," extends MISO's operational and market footprints from the Gulf of Mexico all the way to Manitoba, Canada.
EDF Renewable Energy Places Turbine Order with Vestas for 220 MW
Submitted by aburr on Tue, 2013-12-31 13:23EDF Renewable Energy placed a firm order with Vestas for 220 MW of V100-2.0 MW wind turbine generators. The order is part of the master supply agreement (MSA) announced in September 2013. The most recent order brings the firm commitment of the Vestas turbines to 300 MW to meet the demands of two projects being constructed in the Texas Panhandle: Hereford 1 and Longhorn North. Deliveries and commissioning of both projects are expected to occur in the second half of 2014.
We Energies, Wolverine to End Joint Venture at Presque Isle Power Plant

The joint venture would have resulted in joint ownership of the plant by We Energies and Wolverine along with the installation of state-of-the-art emission controls.
Siemens Receives an Order for H-Class Gas Turbines from Panda Power Funds

Inland Power & Light Selects Tantalus and Itron for Smart Grid Communications Network

The fully integrated TUNet platform will serve as the core foundation for IPL to deploy Itron meters to facilitate the use of advanced applications such as automated metering, interval meter data collection, prepay, and power quality management.
Entergy Utilities Complete MISO Integration

Entergy's utility operating companies — Entergy Arkansas, Entergy Mississippi, Entergy Texas, Entergy Louisiana, Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, and Entergy New Orleans — have been working for more than two years to plan and prepare for the transition. With the integration into MISO, these functions will now be managed by MISO across its newly-expanded regional footprint.
