Policy does matter, especially in our nation's capitol. Five minutes to speak is a long time when you've been invited before the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy. 

Paula Glover, the President of the Alliance to Save Energy since January made the most of it, as head of a respected bipartisan organization, sure to be garnering more attention as clean energy and decarbonization policies move forward. 

The mid-February hearing saw Glover address what she called the essential question of our time: How do we tackle the climate crisis in a way that uplifts every community? The Alliance sees energy efficiency as the answer. Listen in to excerpts of Glover's powerful testimony.

President, Alliance to Save Energy, Paula Glover: There's been a lot of back and forth recently about the risks and opportunities of the clean energy transition. It boils down to one central question of how do we handle and tackle the climate crisis in a way that uplifts every community?

How do we avoid leaving future generations the costs and life-threatening dangers of climate change while at the same time, making sure we're not increasing energy costs or leaving communities behind?
