I got chills, they're multiplying
And I'm losing control
'Cause the power, you're supplying
It's electrifying (it's electrifying)
That was John Travolta, singing to Olivia Newton-John way back in 1978, in the hit movie Grease, predicting that the economy was going to electrify.
Forty-two years later, EPRI is following up on the prescience of the man who started with Welcome Back Kotter, Grease and Saturday Night Fever and kept the power supplying through Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty and The Taking of Pelham 123.
EPRI is putting on five plenary and ten breakout panels over five days next month, for you all to pick and choose from. Each panel will run an hour or so, so checking out two or three or more will be easy. Plus, every one of them will be absolutely free of charge. Another electricity pun, I know, I know.
As one of those super smart scientists at EPRI, Mark Duvall, told me the other day:
“What I feel is that, what is necessary to do, is to say, hey, come to our [Electrification Virtual Summit] as much, or as little as you want to. And then come back and tell us, ‘okay, this is what I like, this is what I maybe didn't find so valuable. Here's what you need to tell me or enable for me going forward…’ And we'll provide that on an incremental continual basis.”
So, go to electrificationcommunity.com, register (for free!!!), and check out a few of the fifteen panels EPRI’s putting on, on October 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23. As Travolta said, in Saturday Night Fever, can you dig it?
