Emera Completes Sale of Interest in Northeast Wind
Submitted by aburr on Sun, 2015-02-01 14:28Emera closed the sale of its 49% interest in Northeast Wind Partners II (Northeast Wind) to First Wind Holdings (First Wind) has closed. The proposed sale was announced in November 2014. Northeast Wind owns and operates 419 MW of wind generating assets located in the northeast United States. First Wind purchased Emera's interest in Northeast Wind for $223.3 million. Emera's carrying value of its 49% interest as of December 31st, 2014, was $204.4 million.

Emera Sells Its Interest in Northeast Wind
Submitted by aburr on Thu, 2014-11-20 13:00Emera will sell its 49% interest in Northeast Wind Partners II (Northeast Wind), to its 51% partner, First Wind Holdings (First Wind) for $223.3 million. Northeast Wind owns and operates a 419-MW portfolio of wind generating assets located in the Northeast United States. Emera acquired its interest in Northeast Wind in 2012. Emera's sale is part of a larger deal which will see 100% of First Wind sold to a third party, and is conditional on that transaction closing.

ABB Awarded $400 Million Order for Maritime Link Power Project in Canada
Submitted by aburr on Sat, 2014-07-19 20:07ABB won an order worth approximately $400 million from NSP Maritime Link, a subsidiary of Emera, to supply a HVDC power transmission solution creating the first electricity link between the island of Newfoundland and the North American power grid. The order was booked in the second quarter of 2014. The Maritime Link Project is a 500-MW HVDC connection that will deploy ABB's HVDC Light Voltage Source Conversion (VSC) technology incorporating a full VSC bipolar configuration to further enhance system availability.
