Siemens received an order for the turnkey construction of the Bandirma II combined-cycle (gas and steam) power plant (CCPP) in Turkey. The purchaser is Enerjisa, a joint venture of Sabanci Holding and E.ON. Upon completion in the spring of 2016, this plant will have an installed capacity of around 600 MW and an efficiency of over 60 percent.
DONG Energy, E.ON and Masdar, marked the official inauguration of London Array, a 630-MW operational offshore wind power plant in Margate, Kent. Siemens was responsible for the supply of 175 wind turbines, the grid connections and will provide service under a long-term agreement with Dong Energy.
New Opportunities: FirstEnergy named James V. Fakult, formerly president, Maryland operations, as president, Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L). He succeeds Don Lynch, who retired. James A.
