Juhl Energy to Acquire Two Operating Wind Projects in Iowa

The projects utilize GE XLE 1.62 MW wind turbines and total 3.24 MW.
GE Offers $13.5 Billion Enterprise Value to Acquire Alstom Thermal, Renewables, and Grid Businesses

The Alstom board of directors has positively received GE’s offer and has appointed a committee of independent directors led by Jean-Martin Folz to review the transaction.

The 2.75-120 that provides 5 percent more annual energy production than GE's 2.5-120 model and is available with various tower technologies, ranging between 85-139 meters, and optional energy storage. The new turbine is available on a steel, hybrid or space frame tower. The range of tower height spans 85-139 meters tall.

GE Wins Nearly $700 Million Contract from Saudi Electricity Company
Submitted by aburr on Tue, 2013-12-03 12:44GE signed a nearly $700 million contract with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) to bring additional F-class combined-cycle gas turbines, and associated equipment and services, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. GE’s technology will support SEC’s large, combined-cycle power plants to generate more than 3.8 GW of power and will provide fuel savings and lower emissions. GE’s technology previously has been chosen for SEC’s PP9, PP10, PP11 and PP12 power plants.
