Report - Grid Investment for Medium & Heavy Duty EVs

Entergy Corp. signed a letter of intent to acquire National Security Service, a security monitoring company that operates in North Carolina and Alabama. Entergy claims the acquisition places it among the top alarm companies in the country.

K Energy, Inc. has begun "Simple ChoiceSM" (em energy, communications, and "infotainment" services in one package, paid with one bill. To bring these services to its rural customers, K Services has aligned with DISH NetworkÔ, a satellite entertainment company; Metricom's RicochetÔ wireless modem and Internet service; Frontier HomeSaver Long Distance service; MaxServ, which provides home-products repair; and DQE WeatherWiseÔ, which "weatherproofs" customers' natural gas bills.

The Manufacturing Alliance of Connecticut (MAC) selected Yankee Energy Services Co. (YESCo) to manage members' energy needs. More than 50 MAC members show interest in the project, along with other large-volume users of natural gas. YESCo's parent is Yankee Energy System, Inc.
