The National Association of Energy Service Companies wants you to know that buildings are responsible for forty percent of total energy consumption. Energy Service Companies, ESCOs, contract with institutional energy users in the public and private sectors to provide cost-effective energy efficiency retrofits across a wide spectrum of client facilities, from college campuses to water treatment plants.
That makes NAESCO's work important, as customer energy-related needs are broadening beyond just energy savings to include resilience, reduced operations and maintenance costs, improved operations, and sustainability. ESCOs and utilities work together on many projects to make critical upgrades to public buildings.
The leader in making all that happen is NAESCO Executive Director Tim Unruh. Listen in as he explains the enabling legislation that facilitates much of this work and why this work on buildings is so impactful.
