Front Lines to Power Lines
This annual meeting of Veterans in Energy brings together military vets from every corner of the country, from dozens of energy utilities and companies, and from every service: Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Space Force. Comradery and conversations about attracting more vets to serve their country again, in energy, to retaining their unique talent and dedication to serve, and helping them thrive in our industry.
At each year’s meeting, there’s a CEO Panel, a session on energy policy and regulation, and an inspiring keynote speech by a military leader. The CEO Panel included the CEOs or Presidents of CMS Energy, Dominion Energy, Southern Company Gas, and Edison Electric Institute.
The session on energy policy and regulation included Vice Presidents of National Grid and Oncor. The keynote was given by the Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau who, back on 9/11, was tasked with the mission of intercepting United Airlines Flight 93 if it had continued to the nation’s capital.
So, Hooah! Or Hooyah! Or Oorah! Depending upon your favorite service.
