Entergy Arkansas
Jetta Wong is Senior Climate Advisor at the U.S. General Services Administration.
The U.S. Government wants to be your utility's customer. It can be a reality, as the federal government is in the market for carbon pollution-free electricity sources and looking to partner.
Entergy serves as the prototype here, having been the first to work with General Services Administration to accelerate this particular change toward carbon pollution-free electricity. GSA's Administrator Carnahan will be at NARUC's 2023 Winter Policy Summit to talk about this program and how utilities and regulators should be involved.
Public Utilities Fortnightly talked with General Service Administration's Jetta Wong, about how Entergy partnered, and how utilities and regulators can work with the federal government to grow this market. Listen in.
PUF's Steve Mitnick: Talk about GSA, the General Services Administration, and its role in what's called the carbon pollution-free electricity goals. How are you using that in your energy procurement?
Jetta Wong: I am excited to tell you about all the great work that GSA is doing related to the administration's sustainability goals. The carbon pollution-free electricity goal is one we feel strongly about because we have such an important role to play at GSA.
