NARUC
NARUC First Vice President Michael Caron is also a Commissioner at the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority. Former NARUC President Paul Kjellander, also former Idaho PUC President, is Senior Advisor at Public Utilities Fortnightly.
NARUC's Annual Meeting is being held this month in New Orleans and that portends the changing of the guard. In this case, NARUC President Judith Jagdmann, also a Commissioner at the Virginia State Corporation Commission, will pass the title of President on to NARUC First Vice President Michael Caron, also a Commissioner at the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority.
The meeting will mark the beginning of the third and last year of the three-year theme of Connecting the Dots: Innovative/Disruptive Technology and Regulation. The theme began under the tenure of former NARUC President, Paul Kjellander, also former Idaho PUC President.
That theme, Connecting the Dots, forever ties this triumvirate of Kjellander, Jagdmann, and Caron together. PUF found it meaningful for Paul Kjellander to discuss, with the outgoing and incoming NARUC Presidents, their thoughts on topics he too knows something about.
PUF's Paul Kjellander: You're a Commissioner at the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority, also First Vice President of NARUC. Are you ready to take the reins as NARUC President and over the last few years what helped prepare you for this role?
