As far as the eye could see, within the cavernous convention center of Dallas, were booth after booth displaying distribution grid innovation. For all these companies big and small came to Distributech to woo the utility industry with their wares leveraging the latest in digital twins, drones, sensors, satellite imaging, intelligence artificial and otherwise, and much more than this column can accommodate.
The Public Utilities Fortnightly team wore itself thin visiting as many booths as is humanly possible. Among the most fascinating of the displays, with tech that can have the greatest impact on distribution grid efficiency and resilience, were a half dozen that really stood out to us.
