In this one, American Electric Power CEO Nick Akins talked with Senator Joe Manchin, the West Virginia Democrat who chairs the Senate Energy Committee, about prospects for clean energy legislation in Congress.
CEO, American Electric Power, Nick Akins: Here we are in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing room, and Senator Manchin is Chair of that committee, an important committee for EEI and member companies.
You clearly have a history of working across the aisle. I remember years ago, being at your place with Senator Murkowski. You were working on the energy policy at that point in time, were very focused on what is good for this country.
An all the above strategy obviously has been something you've been focused on for years. Where do you see that going these days, particularly in light of the administration?
