Utility Regulator by Day, an Artist After Hours
Paul Kjellander is NARUC First Vice President Paul Kjellander and the President of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.
It came to our attention at the NARUC Winter Policy Summit this February that NARUC First Vice President Paul Kjellander, also the President of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, is an impressive artist whose paintings are on display throughout the Gem State including in the State Capitol. So naturally we requested he submit one for publication in Public Utilities Fortnightly.
And here it is, quite appropriately highlighting some of the most respected figures in utility regulation and policy.
Here, presumably after a day serving the public interest, are, from left to right, Jeanette Walter of New Mexico State University Current Issues Conference, former Florida PSC staffer Ryder Rudd, former Alabama PSC president Jim Sullivan, former Pennsylvania PUC and FERC commissioner Rob Powelson, now CEO of the National Association of Water Companies, South Carolina PSC commissioner Butch Howard, the artist Paul Kjellander (bartender), commissioner Howard's wife Pat Howard, former South Carolina PSC and NRC commissioner David Wright, former Illinois Commerce Commission commissioner Erin O'Connell-Diaz, and Rhode Island PUC chief legal officer Patti Lucarelli.
