PUF: What do you all do on a typical day?
Jeff Stair: I've been here for about twenty years. For about eighteen I've represented the electric group. The way we are set up is each of us represents a separate group. So, I've worked with Sheree and the electric group for all these years.
We have cases such as an IRP case, a rate case, and the cases on Vogtle we have every six months. Those days tend to be intense. There's a lot of preparation of our testimony, prepping our witnesses for hearing, reviewing the testimony that the utility files, and working with our experts.
Then, when we're between those cases, it's more of just general working with Jamie Barber of the renewables group. It'll be meeting with, or talking to, Georgia Power lawyers or Georgia Power staff, working through various issues, and contract issues.
It is giving general day-to-day advice for that electric group on any number of issues they might have. Then during those times that we have cases, it's more time spent prepping for the hearing and getting ready. Afterwards it's writing and preparing briefs.
PUF: Next year is going to be a heavy year because there's an IRP, a Georgia Power rate case, maybe other items too. Do you start getting ready for that ahead of time?
