Thomas Edison called his lab in Menlo Park "the invention factory." But in 1887, Edison built a massive campus for his scientists and engineers in West Orange and moved everyone there. The world's first R&D institution, the Wiz worked at what is now the Thomas Edison National Historical Park until his death in 1931. PUF's Steve Mitnick was given a special tour of the beautifully-preserved labs in October and took these cool pics.
