Gemma Power Systems (GPS) received interim notice to proceed (INTP) on activities under an EPC contract with NTE Ohio, to construct the Middleton Energy Center, a 475-MW natural gas-fired power plant in Middletown, OH. The project features a Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas (MHPSA) M501GAC combustion turbine generator, a Vogt Power International supplementary-fired heat recovery steam generator and a Toshiba America Energy Systems steam turbine generator. The project has a contract value of approximately $300 million and is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.
