The Smart Electric Power Alliance’s (SEPA) Energy Evolution Summit 2026 brought together a dynamic cross-section of the industry for three days of strategy, debate, and collaboration in Washington, D.C. Attendees focused on a three-part framework: stabilize, optimize, and grow.

Sessions covered everything from AI-driven grid inspections and nuclear reality checks to managing the massive load growth from data centers. A major highlight was the honest dialogue surrounding the industry’s ultimate balancing act: funding tomorrow’s technology without overburdening today’s consumers. By the final day, the conversation expanded globally, offering insights on scaling renewables, modernizing networks, and centering the consumer in utility models. The event even featured a touch of culinary diplomacy with some popular Norwegian grilled cheese.
