Public Utilities Fortnightly published a three-part 2025 series on contentious issues facing state regulators, starting with a conversation with West Virginia Chair Charlotte Lane followed by five more Commission Chairs; Arizona’s Kevin Thompson, District of Columbia’s Emile Thompson, New Mexico’s Gabriel Aguilera, Oregon’s Letha Tawney, and Pennsylvania’s Steve DeFrank.
The popular series takes off again in 2026, showcasing which issues are similar and which are different among the states. Load growth and affordability are front and center but state legislation, policy, and goals affect it all.
