NARUC President Emeritus Michael Caron, a Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority Commissioner, is bidding farewell after his thirteen years on that regulatory body. His outstanding career includes holding the office of State Representative from the 44th District for nine terms.

His curriculum vitae is too long to publish here but included time on the Connecticut Siting Council and as PURA’s representative to the Connecticut Economic Resource Center. He served as Treasurer of the New England Conference of Public Utilities Commissioners, known as NECPUC, and as a member of NARUC’s Electricity Committee.

Caron discussed issues facing regulators in Connecticut and around the country with wisdom accumulated during his time in politics and as a Commissioner with PUF Senior Advisor and former NARUC President, Paul Kjellander. There is much to learn.
