SEPA and PUF Join Forces
Sheri Givens is President and CEO of the Smart Electric Power Alliance.
Walking around the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on a chilly day in February, I approached my SEPA team’s booth at RE+ Northeast to be greeted by my first hard copy of the February issue of Public Utilities Fortnightly, Powered by SEPA. The exhilaration, the thrill, and the pride of now being a part of the nearly one hundred-year-old PUF story was electrifying (pun intended).

I could not wait to share it with everyone, and I do mean everyone, that I came across at the conference. In fact, near the trade show floor, a gentleman from a technology company actually asked me if I was a salesperson for the magazine.
I guess, yes and no. I have been a super fan of the platform for nearly a decade – what it provides to leaders and readers; I have been a writer numerous times over the years; and now, I am, via SEPA, the owner of the publication, continuing to bolster its usage as an effective communication platform and tool for our industry.
A member of the RE+ Events team had not yet learned of the PUF acquisition, and he, too, was excited about the potential to share takeaways from some of the insightful dialogues at our fourteen domestic and eight international events in 2025.
