The 2024 NARUC Annual Meeting and Education Conference was held November 10-13 in Anaheim, California and was a resounding success. With the theme of, Focused on the Future: State Regulators Leading the Way, there were General Sessions, informational panels, speakers, and even a marching band.

The Annual Meeting was presided over by NARUC President and North Dakota Commissioner Julie Fedorchak, who left to begin freshman orientation in Washington D.C. for her new job in the U.S. House of Representatives. Ushered in was new NARUC leadership with incoming President and Georgia Commissioner Tricia Pridemore, First Vice President and Washington Commissioner Ann Rendahl, and Second Vice President and Virginia Chair Jehmal Hudson.

The Annual Meeting also brought many farewells to NARUC Executive Director Greg White, who was celebrated often. His successor Tony Clark was on hand and is readying to take over on January 1.

Public Utilities Fortnightly brings in these pages excerpts of three panels held at the Annual Meeting. Enjoy and learn from what was said on Wildfires, Natural Gas Demand, and Electric and Water Best Practices.
