NARUC
Greg White is Executive Director of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners. Paul Kjellander is PUF Senior Advisor and former Idaho PUC Chair.
The NARUC Annual Meeting and Education Conference is where lots of changes take place each year as a new Executive leadership team comes in. But 2024's meeting in Anaheim meant even more change as a new President took over, and it marked the last meeting overseen by beloved Executive Director Greg White, who is retiring at the end of the year.
White has watched over NARUC since 2015, and his ten-year run brought many advantageous changes to the Association. He came in with much regulatory experience, first as a Staff member at the Michigan Public Service Commission, and then as a Commissioner, and in both roles was active in NARUC. Incoming Executive Director Tony Clark follows in that vein, with much regulatory experience as a North Dakota and FERC Commissioner.
Public Utilities Fortnightly's Paul Kjellander, also a former regulator and President of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, talked with White as he looks back and ahead.
PUF's Paul Kjellander: When you started a decade ago at NARUC, what was going through your mind?
