Each October, PUF highlights and celebrates innovators at utilities with our Top Innovator Awards and at our Fortnightly Top Innovators conference. The awards were named for great innovators of the past.

AES won the Fortnightly Top Innovator 2024 award ''Francis Upton Top Innovator in Analytics for Utility Service'' for its Power Delivery Predictive Model.

Ameren won the award ''George Westinghouse Top Innovator in Leadership in Innovation'' for Project REACH. It also won the award ''William Hammer Top Innovator in Electrification'' for Project SiLVERS.

Con Edison won the award ''Nancy Fitzroy Top Innovator in Environment and Safety'' for its Underground Automated Cable Splicing - Live End Cap Machine.

CMS Energy won the award ''John Beggs Top Innovator in Energy Transition'' for its RNG Cost Recovery Mechanism.

Eversource won the award ''Francis Upton Top Innovator in Analytics for Utility Service'' for its Early Leak Detection in High-Pressure Fluid Filled Systems.

Exelon - BGE won the award ''Edith Clarke Top Innovator in Reliability of Electric Service'' for its Hazard and Strategic Trees Optimization.

Exelon - Pepco won the award ''Maria Telkes Top Innovator in Distributed Energy'' for its Electric Bus Microgrid.

The New York Power Authority won the award ''William Hammer Top Innovator in Electrification'' for its Overhead Pantograph Charging Systems.

PG&E won the award ''Edith Clarke Top Innovator in Reliability of Utility Service'' for its Remote Grid Architecture.

PG&E won the award ''Mabel McFerran Top Innovator in Storage'' for its Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) Technology.

PNM Resources won the award ''Lewis Latimer Top Innovator in Technology or Process Design'' for its New Service Delivery Workforce Redesign.

Portland General Electric won the award ''Bertha Lamme Top Innovator for Generation'' for its Steam Casing Leak Repair.

PPL won the award ''John Beggs Top Innovator in Energy Transition'' for its Renewable Energy Research Facility.

PSEG won the award ''Lewis Latimer Top Innovator in Technology or Process Design'' for its Outage Management System Deployment.

Puget Sound Energy won the award ''Charles Steinmetz Top Innovator in Grid or Network Solutions'' for its GIS Mapping Tool.

Southern California Edison won the award ''Nikola Tesla Top Innovator in Artificial Intelligence'' for its Advanced Waveform Anomaly Recognition (AWARE).

Southern Company won the award ''Charles Steinmetz Top Innovator in Grid or Network Solutions'' for its GridRaptor™.

Xcel Energy won the award ''George Westinghouse Top Innovator in Leadership in Innovation'' for its Rapid Innovation Framework.
