Ameren won the Fortnightly Top Innovator 2024 award ''George Westinghouse Top Innovator in Leadership in Innovation'' for Project REACH. It also won the Fortnightly Top Innovator 2024 award ''William Hammer Top Innovator in Electrification'' for Project SiLVERS.

 

PUF's Steve Mitnick: Gwen, of the eighty-eight nominations, twenty-three awards, and over one hundred individuals at utilities involved in the awards, there was only one individual involved in two different awards, and that's you.

Gwen Mizell: When Ameren CEO Marty Lyons took over in 2022, he made a conscious decision to bring together in a department that I now oversee, called Sustainability, Diversity, and Philanthropy. We call it SDP and elevated that role to report up to him.

I'm one of the eight-member executive leadership team reporting to the CEO. We wanted to put rigor, structure, and strategy around how we connect with and build strong communities, maximizing our impact.
