Exelon
Sunny Elebua is Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at Exelon.
The 2024 Exelon Innovation Expo on June fifth at the National Harbor in Maryland was inspiring and full of energy. PUF asked three of Exelon's top execs what the Expo means to them, and how innovation is weaved into all aspects of the company's service to customers.
PUF's Steve Mitnick: You had a lot to do with this Innovation Expo coming back after COVID to make it great as it was a few years ago. What does it mean to you?
Sunny Elebua: It takes a village to get this done. There are a lot of people who worked with me to make this event a success. We have a management team that is committed to innovation, from our CEO Calvin Butler to our executive committee, who have all been relentless in supporting innovation internally.
We have internal champions, folks who focus on innovation day in, day out in their day jobs. It's been a groundswell for about four or five years. We never stopped innovating. We just took a pause today, to come together and celebrate our accomplishments.
The world changed around us because of COVID, so we learned how to adapt through virtual celebrations. We started with small group innovation events, and today we're getting together with employees and external vendors in person for the first time in five years.
