The United States Energy Association held its 20th State of the Energy Industry Forum at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. in late January 2024. With the theme of The Integrated Nature of Energy Systems, it was the first hosted by USEA’s new CEO Mark Menezes.

The Forum moved this year to a format of four panels moderated by Menezes, along with special guests S&P Global Vice Chair Daniel Yergin as Keynote Conversation to start the event and Energy Council of Canada CEO Jacob Irving to close the day. The panels included CEOs from twenty energy associations. The Forum was held in coordination with the Energy Council of Canada, which held its Annual Canada Energy Update a week later and is found in this issue following USEA Forum coverage.
