American Gas Association CEO Karen Harbert: So, we're growing. Why is that? Because natural gas is an incredibly popular fuel.
Why is that? Because it's the most affordable way to heat your house or cook your food by a factor of three. We have been able to maintain that low price even with the exports that we were seeing because of abundant supply and our efficient transmission and distribution network, which of course everybody's already pointed out, we need more of.
In addition, we're very reliable. Our customers rarely suffer an unplanned outage. That reliability in these weather events has become incredibly important to customers and regulators responsible for that component.
