PwC, with its finger on the pulse of the industry, recently conducted The PwC 2023 US Large Energy User Survey. It captured insights from over one thousand leaders across six regions of the United States and many industries or types of facilities.

It is important work, as our nation's most energy-intensive industries aim to use less energy while cutting costs and at the same time becoming cleaner. The survey finds that while progress has been made, these large commercial and industrial customers need help. That is good news for the energy and utilities industry, whose members are poised to help these C&I customers move down the clean energy path.

Opportunities are great, but there is potential competition. Public Utilities Fortnightly dug deeper into the insights gleaned from the Large Energy User Survey, with PwC US Energy, Utilities and Resources Consulting Leader, Dan Whigham.

Dan Whigham: Utilities' largest consumers are farther along with their clean energy plans than we had expected.
