NRECA's PowerXchange
Lori Burkhart is Editor-in-Chief of Public Utilities Fortnightly.
Some ten thousand attendees from cooperatives across the country gathered at the massive Music City Center in Nashville from March 3 - 8 at the National Rural Electric Cooperative's (NRECA) PowerXchange, its 81st annual member meeting. It is the largest gathering in the nation of cooperative leaders.
There were general sessions, educational panels, breakout sessions, and much to learn at this annual membership meeting with the theme of, "It's time to lead." Taking place in conjunction with PowerXchange was the TechAdvantage Experience, the huge exposition filled with over four hundred vendors.
Public Utilities Fortnightly was there too, and brings you excerpts here of an online talk by four CEOs, including NRECA's Jim Matheson, Middle Tennessee Electric's Chris Jones, Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas' Buddy Hasten, and Kansas Electric Power Cooperative's Suzanne Lane.
They had a lot to say on the big issues they are grappling with. Enjoy these excerpts and photos of what went on in Nashville. See you next year, March 1 - 6, at the 2024 annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
