EPRI has long been a well-known leader in moving the energy industry forward in advancing safe, reliable, affordable, and clean energy. EPRI's research includes global collaboration as the organization works all over the world in meeting its mission.

EPRI maintains an employee presence in more than a dozen countries through its subsidiary EPRI International and its Ireland-based research arm, EPRI Europe DAC. With energy innovation the focus in collaboration with over four hundred fifty companies in various nations, it makes sense that EPRI staff trekked to Egypt for COP27.

Public Utilities Fortnightly discussed the importance of EPRI's work there and here with an expert, Katie Jereza, VP of Corporate Affairs. She traveled to COP27 along with EPRI CEO Arshad Mansoor, and Deputy Chief Nuclear Officer Steve Swilley, who together spoke at numerous events.

Katie Jereza: To establish a common framework that will embody one of the most comprehensive, integrated approaches to physical climate risk assessment.

As extreme weather increases in frequency and intensity, along with society's dependence on electricity, the need for a comprehensive and consistent approach to physical climate risk assessment is an increasing imperative.
