A unique conference, Reuters Global Energy Transition 2022, united CEOs and changemakers from the energy, industrial, and government ecosystems. It gathered them to shed light on the defining issue of our time, and help companies meet the difficult challenge of climate change.

The conference aimed at actionable items with cross-sector conversations among experts who might not normally be speaking with each other. PUF was there too, and talked with some of the senior executives after they left the stage at this major international event.

PUF's Steve Mitnick: Why is AES at this Reuters event and why were you on this panel?

Julian Nebreda: Our current strategy, our current purpose is accelerating the future of energy, together. We believe in moving the world forward from where it is today in the power sector, to where we want it to be, where it needs to be in terms of sustainability, pricing, and quality of service.

When Reuters came to us with this conference, we had to be part of it. The theme is the core of what we do as a company, what we want to do, and what our people are doing every day. We're excited about it.

PUF: AES is such an innovator. You've broken barriers. Can AES help move the needle?
