Environmental justice is a key policy objective pursued by the Biden Administration as it looks to implement equity principals throughout government agencies. It's also to ensure federal agencies work with states and local communities to deliver at least forty percent of the overall benefits from federal investments in climate and clean energy to disadvantaged communities. Moderator and VP, National Grid, Aaron Choo: We want to talk about the pathway to achieving an equitable energy transition. There's been a lot of policy with the new administration, especially Justice40.
How do we take those investments and embed at least forty percent of that investment into underserved communities? It's fairly new and things are still fluid, so we don't have enough data yet as to how that will play out. The panel could help give insight on how we prepare for it, and what are we trying to solve? What policy are we trying to implement?
