The USEA Technology Forum closed out the day by featuring the panel, 2021 Fortnightly Under Forty - Leading the Way, moderated by PUF's Executive Editor, Steve Mitnick. This panel looked toward the future of technology in the energy and utilities industry, bringing together three of our industries' top young minds being celebrated this year. Look for more on them in PUF's June 2021 issue. Listen in on these excerpts.

Moderator and Executive Editor, PUF, Steve Mitnick: This is appropriate to end the conference with the next beginning. Especially for people who have been in the energy and utilities industries since the 1980s or in my case, since the late 1970s. It's exciting to celebrate and highlight the upcoming stars we're handing the keys off to for the grid and our energy industries.

At Public Utilities Fortnightly, one of our favorite things is once a year we get folks to tell us who are their upcoming stars and for this session, we picked three who are particularly involved in energy technologies and applying them in new and innovative ways. We will start with what their jobs are.

Section Manager, Energy Efficiency & Demand Management, Consolidated Edison, Damei Jack: My job is a section manager for what we call non-pipeline solutions at Con Edison. That is us looking more at utilizing and engaging our customers and using more alternative, energy efficient technology to try to avoid the build of infrastructure.
