The Western Conference of Public Service Commissioners 2021 Online Annual Meeting met June 7 to 8 in cyberspace, grappling with tough subjects as regulation advances in the face of a pandemic, weather events, and the road to decarbonization.

You should have been there to enjoy the levity sprinkled with serious issues thrown out by PUF executive editor Steve Mitnick as he took on the Western Commissioners. It was better than a major league baseball game, watching Steve throw out topic after topic. The affable Commissioners on the panel caught the fast balls with aplomb, and a good time was had by all.

But if you weren't there, the PUF team was. Here in these pages, you will find the best of these memorable moments, as you will remember from prior events that included the gong for those who spoke too long. It never was used, as Commissioners feared that loud sound and so spoke succinctly. Kind of made them slide into home plate faster. Enjoy these memorable moments.

Vice Chair, Montana Public Service Commission, Brad Johnson: I want to welcome you to this final session of the Western Conference of Public Service Commissioners. Remember that Steve has his world-famous gong at his side.
