Moderator and Program Co-Lead, Incubatenergy®, Electric Power Research Institute, Annie Haas: Tell us about your company and what you do.
CEO, HeyCharge, Chris Carde: We started HeyCharge with the mission to provide EV charging for every apartment building in Europe. There's a McKinsey study that projects that eighty percent of EV charging will ultimately take place in indoor private environments, and that will result in the demand of the estimated about fifty-five million new indoor charge points.
But when you look at apartment buildings today, especially in Europe, there's almost no EV charging infrastructure. You have this massive gap between what exists today and what has to exist in a few years to support our decarbonization and electrification goals.
