CAMPUT 2021: Welcome

Canadian Regulators

Report - Grid Investment for Medium & Heavy Duty EVs

CAMPUT 2021 brought Canadian regulators together with the theme Transition and Transaction.

Chair, CAMPUT, Christine Long: We're so pleased to have over five hundred and fifty participants joining us at the CAMPUT conference this year. I want to specifically recognize Paul Kjellander, who was the president of NARUC this year.

Paul will be speaking to us on a panel, and I thank you all for being here. The relationship the CAMPUT community has with NARUC is a very valued one. It does help us to promote regulatory excellence by having a dialogue with so many people.

I would like to thank Régie de l'énergie du Québec under the leadership of Jocelin Dumas. The Régie de l'énergie is our virtual host this year, and I want to thank them for all their hard work in planning the conference. Un grand merci a la Régie de l'énergie, l'organizational de cette conference, merci.

Chair, Régie de l'énergie du Québec, Jocelin Dumas: Welcome from Montreal. Many of you know the charms of the city. It is usually the most thrilling place, offering a wide range of cultural activities and restaurants to please the gourmets. Unfortunately, it is quieter these days as you might expect.

Hopefully, we will have other opportunities in the near future to get together in person. I'm pleased to see that we have an impressive attendance today, due to the quality of the program. The issues that will be discussed are on point with expert speakers.

This year, in lieu of speaker gifts, CAMPUT will give a donation to the Foundation of Greater Montreal that will be distributed to a project involving an ecological energy transition.
