Commissioner
Eric Anderson is a Commissioner for the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.
Conversations with three Commissioners, some members of Staff, and two illustrious recently-retired regulators from the Gem State.

PUF: What led to you becoming a Commissioner?
Commissioner Anderson: I worked for the Northern Lights Electric Cooperative. I was active on the local and national boards. In a sense, an electric cooperative director is basically a regulator. They're the owners, but they're also a regulator, just like the position I currently have.
We had to set rates and determine purchases and capital investments. Moving into my Commission role seems to have been a multi-year preparation project. I also had the opportunity to serve in the legislature for ten years.
