PUF attended the Energy Bar Association’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C. on April 3 and 4, 2017.

Opened by outgoing EBA president Emma Hand of Dentons, the first general session featured utility general counsels Tamara Linde of PSEG, Mrg Simon of Missouri River Energy Services, and Jane Lewis-Raymond of Parker Poe (formerly general counsel of Piedmont Natural Gas). The panel was moderated by another general counsel, Emily Fisher of the Edison Electric Institute.

The Charitable Foundation of the EBA holds a fund-raising dinner at the annual meetings, always a highlight of the conference. The theme this year was the power of water, and funds were raised to help a village in Uganda.

The torch is also passed at annual meetings. Robert Weishaar of McNees Wallace & Nurick became the EBA president for the coming year.
