PUF toured the Vogtle 3 - 4 nuclear power construction site near Augusta GA on March 1, 2017. Four times the size of New York's Central Park (including Vogtle 1 - 2), this place is huge. Everywhere there were soaring cranes and massive equipment. And over five thousand workers. We only met a few of them; they were busy.
In no time, our guide from Southern Company had us stepping through every nook and cranny of the Vogtle construction site. In our hard hats and boots, we looked ready for anything. Though nobody asked us to get back to work.
It was great to meet some of the workers and see what they do.
