Carol A. Isles has been promoted to the new position of vice president and controller for CMS Energy Corp.'s natural gas pipeline unit, CMS Gas Transmission Co. She joined CMS Enterprises, CMS Energy's diversified energy business unit, in 1993 as an internal auditor. In addition, CMS Panhandle Companies, CMS' natural gas pipeline subsidiary, realigned its marketing, business development, optimization, and marketing operations departments. Rob Bond, formerly vice president of commercial optimization, has been named vice president of marketing. Keith Meyer, formerly vice president of marketing, has been named to the new position of vice president of business development, LNG, and supply. Bond joined the company in early 2000 from Sonat Marketing Co. and previously had been managing director for El Paso Energy and Tenneco Energy. Meyer joined CMS Energy in 1990 as director of business development.
The California ISO has named a new market surveillance committee (MSC). Members of the committee include: Frank Wolak, current chair of the MSC and professor of economics at Stanford University, for a three-year term; Benjamin Hobbs, professor of geography and environmental engineering at Johns Hopkins University, for a two-year term; James Bushness, research scientist at University of California (UC) Energy Institute, for a one-year term; and Brad Barber, professor of finance, UC Davis Graduate School of Management, for a one-year term.
