UtiliCorp United has announced a growth-oriented strategy that will introduce free-market concepts such as supplier choice and low-cost pricing to customers across the United States.
According to UtiliCorp chairman, president, and CEO Richard C. Green, Jr., the utility plans to use future mergers and partnerships to bring competitively priced energy products and services to consumers nationwide. To that end, Green has introduced "EnergyOne," which will unite all future UtiliCorp products and services under one brand name: "With physical operations in 17 states today, and serving a combined total of 22.6 million direct and indirect customers in 45 states through current alliances and partnerships, the backbone of UtiliCorp's strategy to become "America's Utility" already is in place."
